National Coming Out Day is celebrated throughout the world October 11. In both local and international related news, there’s been a lot of chatter about hot-topic issues may have your kids wondering what the heck is going on and what certain terms mean` when it comes to gender diversity, inclusion, consent, and the LGBTQ community.

There are some amazing books on teaching gender and sexuality for kids and portraying positive family situations. These lists are recommended reads by several LGBTQ & Human rights organizations and we may not have all of these in the library's collections:
